School is in session

Abigail began her 1st class this week. We go to Little Listeners once a week at the Carol Stream library. She wasn't too sure about the singing part..but she sure loved the play time at the end!

We also began Gym Time for Tots today at the park district. It's basically open gym time with lots of mats, slides, cars, and kids. There were 6 other families from our mom group, so she had lots of kids to play with. She was practicing her crawling and trying to pull herself up. No pics today, but I'll get some next week!

Crawling update: She's getting more and more mobile every day. I love these pics because she discovered we have a kitchen. I was doing the dishes and this is what I saw! It was so priceless!!!!

Watch out World..She's on the MOVE!

It's Abigail's 1st day as a crawler...here's the beginning stages of crawling! By the end of the day, she was moving a lot quicker and further-I think Mommy and Daddy are in big trouble! But we are very proud of her new trick! (Sorry about my high voice...what an annoying mom voice I have!)

On a side note..I'm pretty sure Abigail and Kramer have some secret language going on. They are really cute playing together-Kramer is loving having Abigail crawling becasue she chases his bones down and they play a game together. But Kramer is helping Abigail get things as I attempt to baby proof. Today he has helped her get a plastic bag (BAD NEWS, I Know...dont worry, I was right there to take it..and now all plastic bags are high, high up) and the padding around the fire place! They must be communicating-no need for the gym with these two! We're heading for her 9 month doctor appointment now...I'll update with stats when we get back!

Great Nani's Getting Better!!!

Abigail and I took a trip up to Indiana with Nana this week because Abigail's Great Nani (Rob's grandma) had an infection in her tooth that spread to the bone and had to have surgery to remove it! But she's doing much better now. While we were there, something very BIG happened in the Wennerstrom family. Uncle Al held..and even watched..Abigail! He showed her how to use his phone and learned she likes to EAT phones! He also learned that just because eating a cardboard book keeps her quiet, it's not good for her!!! So here's the amazing pictures! Thanks Uncle Al for watching her..and Aunt Georgeanne for all the food!!!!

Since Mommy and Abigail were away, Mommy got extra cuddle time with Abigail. Here's Abigail snuggled in Mommy's bed..that was Mommy's favorite part of the trip!

And last but not least...our little princess will soon be mobile! She's not crawling yet-but she's really, really, really close. She's up on all fours and rocking back and forth! Any day now there will be a video of her crawling! In the meantime, her favorite "snack" is the bumper around the fireplace-it has lots of little teeth marks in it! Uh oh, Mommy's day is about to be a lot busier! We'll keep you posted on Operation Crawl!

Pasta...Pasta....Pasta!

This was a great weekend! Saturday we went to a wedding...thank you Grandma and Grandpa for watching Abigail! I know they took some GREAT pics of her with them!!

Sunday, we had a pasta dinner at Nana and Papa's..and Abigail tried pasta for the 1st time! Here are some pics of her 1st of many, many pasta dinners! Thank you Nana and Papa!

It's more fun to play than to eat!

I love it so much I even LOVE the bowl.

Also, Abigail got a new outfit because we knew Aunt Katie and Uncle Bill would love it..what do you think???

And last but not least....GO BEARS! They looked GREAT last night. Yes, Indy didn't look great..but nevertheless, we were running, passing, and blocking like a real NFL team! Let's hope this continues!!!!
Go BEARS!

Labor Day Weekend

I'm late getting these up..but here are some pics from Labor Day weekend!

Mommy went out for a run and Daddy was in charge of putting me down for a nap. This is how Mommy found me. What is it with daddies thinking "naked babies" are better than pajamas????

The Wennerstrom's/Muskovich's at the Labor Day Parade.

The fire trucks were a favorite!

God Bless America! (Kramer later ate the flag!)

NICU Get Together

Today Abigail and I went to a NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) BBQ with a couple of the families we met at Abigails' 1st home...Central Dupage Hospital. It was so amazing to see all the babies and how much they have grown! I had to put a few pictures up right away to share! Thank you so much to Pete and Anna for hosting the BBQ!
Here is Abigail with Cally. Cally was born at 24 weeks-she came almost a week before Abigail but was not due until April. At one point she weighed less than a pound..that's right, 15 oz. She is such a strong little girl. You look at her now and wouldn't even know all the things she went through(but her parents will never forget)! She is such an amazing little girl..I know her and Abigail will be friends for a long time because they have a special bond. This is Abigail's 1st friend, but this is the 1st time they met because they couldn't meet in the hospital! Cally is going to be a big sister!!! We wish the best to Pete and Anna!
Here are Abigail and Luca. Sorry to all of Abigail's boyfriends, but this was her 1st! He gave Abigail her 1st Valentine's Day Dress. Luca was born mid-November but was due mid-February. At one point he weighed less than 2 lbs! He also had quite a fight in the NICU...but he's doing so great now! He is crawling around...and has LOTS of energy!!!!
Here are the 3 Muskateers together! Knowing how little Abigail was, it's crazy that she was the BIGGEST of the 3...her lowest weight was just under 3 lbs. She also did not have to have surgeries or a ventilator, which was such a blessing to us! Nevertheless, all three of these babies are quite amazing! (And let's not forget the parents who spent countless hours/days/and even months next to the babies incubators, doing whatever it took to help their babies and celebrating the smallest milestones...it is something that you would never wish on anyone.)
Today we discussed how grateful we all are to Central Dupage Hospital for all they did for our kids. Next April we will be walking with the March of Dimes in honor of these little peanuts (Luca and Cally's parents are actually ambassadors for the March of Dimes) and we hope you will join our team! More info. on that to come later.
