What a beautiful night! Joe and Jule's Wedding!!!!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Blandford!!!!!

Wow...what an amazing weekend we had. It began with a great family thanksgiving at Rob's parents house. Thank you for hosting! And we had an added bonus of Uncle Al and Aunt Georgeanne joining us this year...thank you for being there!!!!!

Friday began with a day of pampering and coffee for the girls to begin the wedding weekend, followed by an amazing rehearsal dinner at Carnivale! Still dreaming of my mojitos! Rob and Uncle Joe did such a great job taking care of Abigail all weekend so I could be with my sisters...thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm sure when Uncle Joe thought of his last night as a single guy, the plan didn't include diaper changes and a crying baby...but she loves you! Well, she loves you again..apparently on Saturday she could sense Joe's nervousness and cried everytime she saw him...I'm sure Uncle Joe was ready to get to the church and away from the crying baby!!!

Saturday was quite a whirlwind of a day. Hair, makeup and getting dressed for the BIG day. The wedding was so beautiful. The church was Holy Name Cathedral and it was quite breathtaking. After a beautiful ceremony by our family friend Father Joe (who also married us and baptized Abigail) we took a great trolley ride around the city...and Jules and Joe got some amazing night shots on Michigan Avenue. Then it was to the reception at the Sofitel. What a beautiful night it was. Julie and Joe put so much thought into every last detail...it was an amazing weekend. Jules was the perfect bride...she looked beautiful and was having so much fun! After some pretty good speeches (if I may say so myself..he he), the band began-and the drinks! I blame Joe starting shots of Tequilla for my headache today, but it was so much fun. No one wanted the night to end..so we continued the party in my parents room.

I can't even begin to explain what a beautiful wedding it was...everything was so perfect..including the bride and groom! I hope they are able to relax in Hawaii...shouldn't be too hard!

Julie and Joe: Rob, Abigail, and I all want to say thank you for including us in your special day. We feel so blessed to have you in our lives...and we are so happy to have Joe in the family now too! It was the perfect wedding! Beautiful!!!! So , here are some pics. I should point out I took FOUR pictures all weekend...slacker! But thanks to a bridesmaid, Amy, who took 170 pics, I have some for the blog. When I get more, I'll post more!

The beautiful bride..isn't the dress amazing???

The centerpieces at each table. Each centerpiece had a spotlight on it...it was awesome!

Our 16 lb. Turkey

Well, the day is officially here! Tomorrow is Abigail's last "1st" big holiday! It's her 1st Thanksgiving...and we can not wait to share it with her!

I took this on November 26th.
I took this on October 23rd...I am amazed how old she looks in just one month!

I can't wait to get to Nana and Papa's house for turkey!!!!

At Macy's, we wrote Abigail's 1st letter to Santa. For every letter Macy's receives, they donate $1 to Make-A-Wish! Abigail asked for a red wagon and a baby doll!

Abigail and Joey happy after writing their letters to Santa. They were talking in a language that only they understand about what they wanted.

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!
Also, just a reminder that my sister Julie is getting married this weekend!!!! Our whole family is so excited for the big day! So we'll have lots and lots of pics posted on Monday. We'll probably be private by then so this is your last chance to COMMENT so I can add you! And thank you to everyone who has commented...I was so happy to see how many people love Abigail and want to see what she's up to! Happy Turkey Day! (And yes, I'm wearing my maternity pants to Thanksgiving..can't wait to chow down!)

Going Private...

In order to keep Abigail safe, we have decided to make our blog private. That just means that I have to "invite" you to read it...I'm not sure if it means you will have to have a google account or not, but I think the extra effort it takes to set up a free google account is worth it for Abigail. We don't always know who is reading this and we want to make sure that only people who know and love her are able to see pics of her and read about her. I'm posting this now so you'll know why if you can't get on in a few days..I'll give a day or two for people to check this post and then on Tuesday we'll go private! If you don't get an email from me, just send me a reminder and I'll make sure you are added!!! Anyone who wants to get added (and we know or you know) can!!!! Thanks for understanding and supporting our decision!

I'm looking forward to posting on Tuesday about the GREAT 1st birthday we went to today!

PS. If you read but never comment, this is your chance! If you don't comment, I don't know you are reading and might forget to add you to our private list! :)

Our Day at the Dupage Children's Museum

Two weeks ago, Abigail and I checked out the Children's Dupage Musuem. It was such a great place for her...we look forward to lots and lots of visit this winter!

Abigail LOVED all the mirrors! I love this picture of 4 of my favorite girls...We could have our own show "Rob and Beth plus 4"

She spent most of the day on this ballet handle looking at herself. Daddy, get ready for Ballet recitals on beautiful Sundays during football season!

Busy with the lighted sticks...very cool room!f

This was her FAVORITE part! It's a floor full of little holes that blows air up...She laughed a lot!
I can't wait to see how she grows using this chair!

Bear Down!

On Sunday, Rob faced the elements to root on the Bears with my sister Katie, my dad, and our friend Bill. Unfortunately, the Bears did not cooperate with the fans! However, my sister did get a great picture! (Thanks Kate for sending it!)
The COLD weather doesn't stop True Bears Fans!
Our computer should be back operating tomorrow and then the catch-up pictures will begin!!!
Also, it's only 2 1/2 weeks until my sister's wedding!!!!! I can't believe it's almost here. I'm so excited!!!! Oh man, will the blog be full of pics after Thanksgiving weekend!!!!

Short (But Exciting as Always) Review

Sorry about the LONG delay. We are having some computer issues. Therefore, we are only using Rob's work computer at night. I didn't want to download too many pics on his computer so here's a few quick pictures until we get ours working again! I had to go all the way back to last week...and A LOT happened in 7 short days. Here is a quick recap...and when our computer is working again I'll add more pics!

We BARACKed the Vote!!!!! It was really cool that Abigail was able to be with me when I voted since this election is historical and she can say she was there..looking all patriotic for the event!

Last Thursday we made our 3rd and final trip to Sunny Acres. We went with Nicole and Joey..it was a great day-and great weather!

On Wednesday night we carved our pumpkins..and couldn't resist one more picture with my favorite pumpkin! The pumpkin on the left is Abigail (long lashes and 2 teeth..even though both her top teeth are coming in now)

On Friday (Halloween), we spent the day in the city with Aunt Julie and Aunt Katie. Abigail even wore her I Love My Auntie shirt under her costume!

Here is one last picture of Abigail's glo-worm costume...she was so cute! She trick-or-treated at one house (Nana and Papa) and got a whole pumpkin worth of candy. She also got lots and lots of Halloween treats from Grandma and Grandpa! Thank you to all!
Sorry for the short post..more to come...including: Aunt Julie and Uncle Joe take Abigail to Build-a-Bear(That was a great, great day), Mommy and Abigail at Dupage Children's Museum, and Bears Game.

Snow in October?????

On Sunday, we went back to Central Dupage Hospital for the Neonatal Intensive Care Reunion. It was such a special day!!! It was hard to walk back into the hospital because it brought back a lot of the feelings and fears we had everyday, but once we got to the party, it was quite a celebration of amazing babies! The cafeteria was full of healthy, beautiful children!!!! Rob and I commented many times on how amazing the kids look...some kids had been coming back for 13 years! They had music, play areas, crafts, food, and presents!!! We got to see Abigail's nurses and doctors..and they got to see her! Everyone was so amazed at how big she is! It was a great time! We look forward to going back and celebrating every year.

The moms and babies!!! Do you know that combined, these 4 babies didn't even weigh 10 lbs altogether when they were born????? Crazy!

Abigail and Luca...we are so in love with him!!!!
Abigail proudly displaying her NICU graduate t-shirt!

Smile!
Monday we went to the pumpkin patch...and it was COLD! Here is how Abigial went to the Pumpkin Patch!!!! We saw the kids that I used to teach (they were there on a field trip). They were so excited to see Abigail! Then we met Cari, Mae, Nathan and Renee, Alex, and Jake! My favorite part was the hot chocolate and apple cider donut!!!
When we got home, it was Snowing!!!! Crazy!!! Abigail loved to watch the snow and wanted to catch it through the window!!!
Tooth Watch 08: Abigail's 3rd bottom tooth has come through..and one of her top teeth is popping through as we speak! She's being a trooper through it!!!
