Grandpa Marcuccilli's 80th Party

This weekend was a family surprise party for Rob's Grandpa at the Andre's home at Bass Lake, IN. It was his 80th birthday. The day was PERFECT-and was made even more perfect by the fact that Rob's Grandpa Wennerstrom from Arizona was in to visit and we were able to spend the whole weekend visiting with him too! Here are some pics...
Rob with his mom, daughter, and Grandpa Marcuccilli!

4 Generations of Wennerstroms (If Abigail was a boy, it would have been 4 Roberts..how crazy would that have been...maybe next time :) )
Bobby III, Bob Jr, Abigail, Bob Sr.

The Marcuccilli Family
Aunt Tina (Hitler T), Uncle George, Grandma, Auntie Brina, Grandpa, Auntie Gam, Neici

Everytime Abigail is around Auntie Brina, she advances!! Last time she began crawling..apparently this time she learned how to walk!!!!! (With lots of assistance of course)

How cute is this picture????

Playing games in the yard..Check out that view of Bass Lake!
Time for cake and presents!!!!
And of course, no party at the Andre's would be complete without some Kareokee! So excited we have two new kareokeers in the family...Uncle Tom and Stina (not pictured).
Our family pics...Abigial's eyes are closed but she's still BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you Uncle Al and Aunt Georgeanne for hosting such a GREAT surprise party!! It was a memorable day...everyone had a wonderful time!!!! And Happy 80th, Grandpa Marcuccilli!!!

"Ain't Nothing Gonna Break My Stride..."

"Nobody gonna slow me down...Oh No..I've got to keep on moving!"
Rob and I heard this song and I told him it's Abigail's theme for the week!!!!! It's hard to believe that two weeks ago she wasn't even moving. As I always say, "SLOW DOWN TIME...She's growing too fast!"
Here are the stages as Abigail pulls herself up all by herself (with my spotting...good things I wasn't any good at cheerleading in junior high so I was a spotter-I knew those skills would come in handy)!
Yesterday she also climbed the stairs at Grandma and Grandpa's house...she's unstoppable! I didn't take any pics with Grandma or Grandpa-which I need to do soon! I'll try to remember next time we visit.
We also went over to Auntie Nay Nay's house this week for a playdate..and the boys found as many toys as they could for Abigail!!! Too cute!
Have a GREAT weekend!

The Animal Whisperer

Abigail and I went to Cosley zoo on Monday. It's a little local zoo (petting zoo) 5 minutes from our house. As soon as we got there, the weirdest thing kept happening. Every animal would come right up to Abigail. There were tons of kids there, but every animal we walked to would come right up to Abigail. I'm pretty sure she's talking to the animals...we think it's a high pitched screech (which was so loud it scared the birds away) but maybe it's communication with the animals!

This horse come right up and started to smell Abigail!

Yep, even the turtles all came up to her...

You can't see the goats...but Abigail sure can! :) I think they were looking for food!

On another note, since Abigail is getting so good at crawling, now she is trying to pull herself up...it's pretty cool (even though every day my job gets 100x more difficult and tiring)!

"I see my Puffs and want them! I'll get them myself!"

Tooth Watch: It looks like the teeth next to the bottom teeth already in are coming in..I know the top 2 should come next, but she's definitely teething (very crabby, loss of appetite, etc.) and it looks like it's the next bottom 2. Hope these suckers come in quick for her sake (and mine)!

The Best 9 months...256 days...of our lives!

Today is Abigail's 9 month birthday..and as we do on all her special days, we wanted to take this time to remind ourselves how blessed we are to have her in our lives! She should have been 7 months yesterday..but instead she is 9 months today! Those extra two months are a blessing to us! So Happy 9 Month Birthday, Abigail! What a special gift you are!
We LOVE to wake up to this!!!!
It's a lot harder to get pics of Abigail looking at us now that she can crawl.
Crawling
Thank you Aunt Julie, Uncle Joe, and Aunt Katie for watching me while Mommy and Daddy went to the Bears game yesterday. The outcome wasn't the way they planned...but I had a GREAT day!
Thank you Mae for sharing your Barbie Jeep with me! I promise I will take good care of it..and have so much fun! Thank you!
Daddy's 2 favorite girls!!!!

Mommy's 2 favorite people...won't this picture be a great one when Abigail and Rob have their 1st dance at her wedding??? :) Am I getting to far ahead of myself?

And last but not least..Abigail with our "first baby" Kramer! They are BEST friends!

Grow, Baby, Grow!

Here are the results of Abigail's 9 month appointment. Being a preemie complicates everything..but here are where she falls for a normal 9 month old. This is her ACTUAL growth charts. She's in the less than 5% tile for weight and the 45% tile for height.

Height 45%

Weight <5%

Now, here are her CORRECTED growth charts..this is where she would fall if she was a 7 month old (using her due date instead of her birthday). She is in the 6% tile for weight (YEAH...She finally made the chart!) and the 73% tile for height.

Height 73%

Weight 6%

I personally think she just falls somewhere in the middle of these two. Basically she's tall and skinny..sounds like someone else I know! :) Also, when I have time I'll go back and add all her stats so you can see how she's grown and how she's catching up every month!

School is in session

Abigail began her 1st class this week. We go to Little Listeners once a week at the Carol Stream library. She wasn't too sure about the singing part..but she sure loved the play time at the end!

We also began Gym Time for Tots today at the park district. It's basically open gym time with lots of mats, slides, cars, and kids. There were 6 other families from our mom group, so she had lots of kids to play with. She was practicing her crawling and trying to pull herself up. No pics today, but I'll get some next week!

Crawling update: She's getting more and more mobile every day. I love these pics because she discovered we have a kitchen. I was doing the dishes and this is what I saw! It was so priceless!!!!
