Ocean Life....

There isn't another vacation like a beach vacation!  We really could have packed the kids bathing suits and pajamas because they were usually in their bathing suits before 8am and stayed in them all day!  At this age (and in this day of age), it is so wonderful watching them play all day!  They used their creativity to make ice-cream stands, build castles, dig a pool, play games, etc!  No technology, no complaining!  It was wonderful!!!!  A week at the ocean with no agenda is just what this family needed!!!!!!

Me and Blogger aren't getting along...so a lot of my pics are sideways with no way to turn them!  So while I can't put up all of my favorite pics, here are a few that remind us how wonderful the beach was!!!!!

Ocean City 2015

We just got back from our long awaited vacation to Ocean City, Maryland.  A little history on OC.  We started going there when I was a kid.  It's always been sort of "our place".  I think we figured out that this was our 7th trip to OC.  The last time we went, Abigail was 1 and I was pregnant with Caitlin.  We like to go every 3-4 years, but the past few years have been busy with weddings and babies.  So we were so happy to get back to OC.  It's amazing how much like "home" it feels, even though we had to move to a new, bigger place and a lot has changed in OC in the past 5 years.

I want to start by thanking my parents for an AMAZING vacation.  They rented a beautiful house on the ocean which made the trip perfect!  The kids could literally run right to their ocean from the house...and back.  From the moment we got there, they were in the water, and they never stopped!

I thought the kids would like the ocean, but had no clue how much they would LOVE the ocean!  They spent every waking minute in the water...or begging us to take them to the water!

I will do my best to document our trip....but I could never to justice to such an amazing week!

The Road Trip
I grew up road tripping and find it fun, but Rob didn't and he doesn't!  :)  But he embraced our road trip and we made some amazing memories along the way!!!!!

Tooth Fairy Visits the Wennerstroms

Yesterday was a big TOOTH day for Caitlin!  She lost her 1st tooth!  It was hanging by a string and she pulled it out! That was about an hour before all 3 girls had their 6 month dentist visits!

While there, we found out Caitlin had a small cavity.  Unfortunately, Caitlin has the Muskovich teeth instead of the Wennerstrom teeth. :(. They have been watching 2 spots and one was getting bigger.  So they said they could just fill it yesterday.  So Caitlin also got her 1st filling (and our 1st filling for kids) yesterday.  I felt terrible since I brush and floss her teeth.  But she's so brave.  We didn't tell about the shot and she didn't even know.  She watched a show and did great!  And of course earned ice cream!  I hope that's the last filling for any kids!!!

Caitlin has 3 more loose teeth and Abigail had 4 so the tooth fairy better get a second job!!  Speaking of tooth fairy, she left Caitlin a sparkling dollar and a whole bunch if change!  And her glitter was all over Caitlin's room!  Caitlin was very excited and put her sparking dollar in her bank before she showed us!  I can't wait to find that sparkling dollar one day in her bank when she's older!!!

Need a second job for this family....

Mini-golf Training

The training has officially begun for mini-golf in Ocean City!  The Wennerstroms are taking the Muskovichs, Blandfords, and Brokkes/(Still Muskovichs...ha ha) down!!!!!  And by down, I mean this team averages 180 a round!!!!

Champions need to carb up!

Libby has her "we are the champions" pose down!!!!!

Next to the mini golf is a new park, splash pad, and basketball park...I see many hours spent here this summer!

Caitlin is obsessed with basketball so this was the most amazing thing she has seen!!!!

Summer of Fun

We are 3 weeks into our summer of fun...and cold!  Today is July 1st and it's 65 degrees out!  We have only been to the pool 4 times due to the cold!  Nevertheless, we are having a great summer!  We are trying to find a balance between being busy and enjoying down time at home!  I really want the kids to experience summer like I did as a kid where you just get up and play all day and be creative!!!!

Some things we are up to this summer:
Libby is in her 1st ballet class without mommy!  Week 1 and 2 didn't go well...she cried and ran out of the room the whole time!  But week 3 she actually danced (with me in the room) and I snuck out the last 10 minutes!  I literally have never felt so proud because I didn't think that day would ever happen!  Libby is really attached to me!

The older girls are in gymnastics this summer and loving it!  The cartwheel and handstand their way through our house everyday!

The older girls had Vacation Bible School for a week.  Libby and I spent the time shopping, having donuts, and hanging out with my dad because my mom was in Vegas!  It was a really great time!  And the girls had a blast in VBS as they always do!

Caitlin with one of her camp counselors!

We made it to the pool!!!!!

Stay tuned.....more fun to come!!!!
