Our Little Mia Hamm!
Our Little Mia Hamm!
It's no secret that in the Wennerstrom family, we would LOVE for Abigail to play soccer. We decided to use this beautiful weekend to start training her! Watch out 2028 Olympics...

On Friday Abigail and I met friends at Woodfield..and got there early enough to play in the play area (it's the busiest play area ever).

Grannie Frannie's 95th Birthday Bash
Grannie Frannie's 95th Birthday Bash

Aunt Katie...Abigail sure is happy! She had a mini-shirt on!

This weekend was my Grannie Frannie's 95th Birthday. It was a special day for her..and my whole family. We had a bash on Saturday...it was a great time! Everyone had shirts on with different pictures throughout my Grandma's life...she enjoyed seeing herself on all the shirts! We ate great food, had a "few" cocktails, gave her presents, and asked her questions about her life. Not many people get to celebrate a 95th birthday, and my grannie is doing it in STYLE! Here are a few pics from the bash!
Happy Birthday, Grandma Fran!
Abigail with her Grandma (Somehow I missed a picture with Grandpa, but I know my sister took one so I'll add it when I get it)

The cutest blowing out of the candles EVER! Happy Birthday, Grandma! We'd better start planning the big 100!!!!
Last week we had some amazing Spring weather. Abigail and I took full advantage of our time at the park! Here are pictures to compare...the first one was from last July, the second one from this spring! I guess 8 months is a long time, but I was still surprised! She's growing fast!!!! That reminds me of a GREAT new song that I'll try to add...it's by Darrius Rucker (yes folks, it's Hootie..but without the Blowfish). I also have a great video of her trying to get up this ramp...so funny...I'll post it later this week!

On Sunday, my sisters and I went to see Miss Saigon at Drury Lane to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was a perfect night out with my sisters!
Have a GREAT week!

Snapshots of our Week
What's been going on....

"Grandma and Grandpa, I'm ready for Ocean City this summer! Get your sand castle building skills ready!!!!!"

"Mom...don't take a picture of me. I know this is the first time I used the potty...but it was an accident. It doesn't count! Oh, you also want to take a picture of my new horse sweater...it's my Derby sweater!"

"It has been so much fun having Reese and Chase over! I love my playmates!"

April 26th is the March of Dimes March for Babies walk. We wanted to invite all our family and friends to come and walk with us!!!! It's a family-friendly event that raises money and awareness for an amazing cause!!!! You can register at the link on the right...or you can just come out and walk with us without registering. It's not about the money you raise, you can raise $1...it's about creating awareness for such an amazing cause...and celebrating all babies!!!!!
We are going to have a BBQ at our house after the walk. In addition to our family and friends, some of the drs and nurses from the NICU may be joining!!! We would love to have you come and join us as we celebrate the great day!!! Just give us a heads up so we can make sure we have plenty of food and drinks! We'll have things set up outside for the kids!

She's Officially 1...Our Funny Little Stinker!!!
She's Officially 1...Our Funny Little Stinker!!!
February 21 was my due date, so Abigail is officially 1 in the medical world!!!! And 1 has brought out the funny little stinker side of her! She is so funny...I wish I could stop time and keep like she is today forever...she's so funny all day long!!!!
"Oh My Gosh...She did what? Let me ask my p's if I can come over. Call me!"
"I do not need help..I can hold my cup all by myself!"
For the next 6 weeks, I'm watching Reese and Chase two days a week. This week was our first day...it was busy!!! But fun!!!! I can handle this "3" thing!
On Friday we were so lucky because we got to meet my friend Jessica's (Rutland from Conant) son Brayden. I wasn't sure how Abigail would react to having a baby in the house...she was curious but really loved him!!! (So did Mommy!!!!)
"Hey Mom..Something in here is moving!"

How cute is Brayden??? What a peanut!!!! We loved our visit and can't wait to see you again soon!

Abigail got her big girl potty!!!! No, we aren't crazy and potty-training yet. We are just going to begin with bathtime practice. When it's time for bathtime, I'll sit her on it while the tub is filling. If she "uses" the potty (which she will because of the running water) we'll cheer and sing the potty song...I really hope this will make potty-training more successful in a few months! (The question for all the moms out there is this: We are going on a vacation this summer which involved an 18 hour car ride..do I want her potty-trained for the trip or is it better to keep her in diapers until after the trip?). So here's Abigail with her froggy!!!!
"Check out my froggy potty!"
Word Watch: Her words are slowly coming! In addition to "doggie" and "dada", she is also saying "duck" (we have a duck bathroom) and today she said "MaMa" everytime she saw Mickey Mouse...not sure if she thinks the Mouse is her mom or what but I'll take it!

Reading!
Here is Abigail "reading" (I use the term loosely) her new book. She reads "Doggie" everytime she sees Kramer! We are trying to teach her Mommy and Daddy, but Doggie is her favorite! Enjoy!
